• More than 32000 of topographic maps are available at poehali.org (03.09.2008)
  Dear users, We are glad to inform you that all maps added for the last few months at mapstor.com , can now be downloaded at poehali.org. Thus the total amount of maps available for free download is more than 32 000. At poehali.org you can navigate on overview map, change scales, search...
• On the site the system of free download is changed. (06.06.2008)
  Now all topographic maps can be downloaded directly from maps.poehali.org. Besides, the number of maps has increased from 18238 to 22766. The majority of new maps cover Africa and Asia at a scale of 1:200000 and 1:100000.
• Maps beggining with the letters "M" and "N" are georefenced (02.10.2007)
  Maps beggining with the letters "M" and "N" became georefenced. Their total number is about 5000 maps.
• Base map became more detailed (08.05.2007)
  Base map specification is enlarged up to the scale 1:500 000. The map is avaliable both in Russian and in English. In general the map can be viewed in 8 different scales.
• Reports are transferred from poehali.net (24.04.2007)
  All reports are transferred from poehali.net. Photos will be transferred separately.

  1455 new maps become available from disc World Map Update at mapstor.com through navigation map interface.
• Navigation of map interface is remade (20.04.2007)
  New topographic map background Forests are represented on topographic maps of Asia and Europe. Names of cities in Russia, Belarus and other countries are written now correctly. Maps are represented in “softer” colors, colors of roads are changed. Both Russian and English versions work...
• New interface is created (02.04.2007)
  New interface is greatly simplified; main content zone is enlarged as much as possible. In general design became easier and more functional. Many ideas are borrowed from Wikipedia and Google.
